Munin Plugin for Cherokee monitoring update

February 13th, 2009 Comments off

I’ve managed to find some time to get my Cherokee server updated to 0.98.1. BTW, it took a while to have new version appear in the Gentoo portage.

Thanks to Alvaro, this update contains improved system_info module, which is now dirt easy to use in Ruby and some other scripting.

Using that opportunity I have updated my munin_cherokee plugin to utilise new functionality.

to Download latest version , follow the link in Munin Cherokee plugin post

VirtualBox and Sun Unified Storage

A glimpse of VirtualBox and Sun Unified Storage Simulator.

SUSS looks good, Only problem I had was with IPv6, donno if it was due to VBox or SUSS but when I’ve set a static IPv6 it was crashing the interface. Other than that, good stuff, will need to test both products more.

2nd weekend in a row

February 1st, 2009 Comments off

So it’s second weekend in a row when I’m working.

This weekend it was setting up some video streaming platform for one of my company projects, very nice short nice and words like “we gonna get screwed if it doesn’t work by Monday”.

Now, just can’t wait for Friday, hopefully my flight will not get cancelled and I will ski in Poland on Saturday.
