Two weeks ago I have got my Nokia n810 a Garnet OS install. I did it just because it enabled me to used the Mobipocket Reader ( for Palm OS ). It works, just the fonts are bit dull.
Now, to celebrate my toys functionality, I’ve bought some Sci-Fi book, which had a reduced price and good ratings.
That book turned out to be a real page turner, I couldn’t believe that books can still have that influence on me.
I even got a sequel strait away after finishing the first one. Man, that was a great journey.
Now, I’m resisting. There is a third part of the series, but I’m keeping my hands away from the mobipocket website. I will keep it for the flight over the pond. It’s 10 days to go and I can’t wait!
Books which I was talking about are writen by Randolph Lalonde, looks like I will read all his books.
Mobipocket is my ebook format of choice. Donno why but it is.

For very long time I am contemplating to buy an ebook, usually they were extremely expensive ( the eRex ) or didn’t had the MobiPocket® read functionality - Sony ( as I have a collection of ebook in that format I would love to be able to read them on the ebook reader, not only my phone ) Finally Gizmodo is reporting :
Ebook Reader: Bookeen Cybook V3 Puts a Soundtrack to Your eBooks
price is decent in States $350 what translates to £170 real money … while the UK shop asks for £250 !!!! That is insane. I would order from States for delivery over the pond by a little mule but his holidays are not in mid December( estimate delivery time as they have high demand ) so he would be able to pickup the package.
For now, Bookeen you are loosing $350 as I am not going to buy it for your ridiculous $500 price in Britain. Unless something happens and I’ll end up in NYC in mid-late December.

So new Xeons are almost out. Can not wait until more price drops, as I need a server.
I have obtained Agile Web Development with Rails β version as a PDF and now spending most of my time swallowing it… almost last weekend I have spent on CSI: Miami and a History of violence, both great.

Uh oh, day almost as usual
Yesterday ? I have read some article on polish website ( in polish, so I’m not linking ) where somebody mentioned some writers publishing their book on a web for free under CC license. So I’ve grabber one name: Cory Doctorow who claims to be responsible for boingboing, and downloaded one of his books Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom. It is a page turner!
Pissed off by Firefox, I’ve found my self playing with flock. After installing it from BugZilla ebuild ( renamed to use latest version ), and playing cat and mouse with its feed capabilities, I am now happy with it, much happier that with Firefox! :) Waiting for gentoo to pick it up, and make some source based ebuild.
Read an article on CNet about online calendars, I have tried the Google Calendar, it feels really nice. Sort of Ajax version of Hula Calendar. Introduced Ann to this nice place on the web, after some time which she needed to get used to new stuff we played in events and calendars sharing. It also sends good invites in ics , so my Evolution could pick it up. Nice! Missing just a sync with a Palm OS devices and a lot of people will be in heaven.
