I was just amazed by this years Farnborough International Airshow. Taking off fighter jet ( I believe it was Hornet ) seen/heard from around 100m is stunning.

Ania is writing a dissertation. She knows nothing about text editing, they never taught it in her university. When I had questionable pleasure of being asked how to do something in OpenOffice every five minutes, I have asked her if she can send the file over to me, and I will create some styles for her text.

What I have received was nowhere to be said ‘pro’ …
I have spend around 8h or more to remove all the extra empty paragraphs, repeated spaces and finally styling each of the paragraphs, converting formula’a to objects… adding correct captions. Really not the most interesting stuff to do.
Before sending corrected document back to Ania, I had to explain what I have done, and how she should carry-on editing it. And during that time I have written some useful tips for a newbie, all in Polish ( except names from OpenOffice ). I will try to compile a short and no doubt incomplete tutorial. Just after I will get over with this ‘dissertation problem’.

I have had a bad Saturday, due to food poisoning. I was sleeping for whole day on sat.

Sunday, with just uncomfy feeling I’ve spent day on shopping ( just food - sometimes happens ) and watching movies.

Tried to watch Oliver Twist, but it did not keep me for long. Then I’ve seen great movie by S. Spielberg Munich, really, really nice movie. But after that I placed a DVD with Crash in to my player… and this movie just made my day night. Amazing, if world is so freaked out as presented in this movie… it is just stunning.

Metal Gear , Metal Gear, I have forgot how great fun card game can be…. Before starting with movies on Sunday, I have spent few hours playing my AC!D 2 … After finished with game … I have realized that I am still thinking in turns… weird stuff.

So, this Saturday was kind of OK. In the morning I’ve went to the Mall and bought some food, and DVDs ( The Score - medium , Fight Club - really interesting , KungFu Hustle - really entertaining ) and watched afternoon all of ‘em.
After movies session got something to eat ( some Italian pasta ) and started to play with FontForge, which is really impressive piece of software to design Fonts.
Night was spent on trying to get to know Cairo and Mono at least now I assume that I know how to draw a circle ;). And I can start to work on my concept analog face for Internet Time watch. I always wanted to check it that concept will render useful.

Had a longer weekend , started on Thursday afternoon by picking Ann from Airport.
Good relaxing weekend, not good that it was short… but time passes fast when you enjoy it.

Today busy… with leftovers from Gareth , with out notice … sorted, and after that got to code some stuff in c#/mono: stuck with badly designed database and DataSets … hopefully tomorrow will have some time to finish that !

Went home, on a way almost falling asleep.

it’s too late, so instead of sleeping I’m reading news.

So thanks to that I have Friday, and Monday free.

Just cleaned up my room, so it is not looking like a garbage.

Lately I’ve got Kens old laptop, and now, I’m trying to make some use of it.
Main responsibilities for this machine are, VoIP, and Hula. But for now, I just have to updateUbuntu on it, and then get VoIP working on it. what is important since I’ve changed port forwarding on my firewall, and I can’t use VoIP on my laptop.

Ben is leaving for Bonn next weekend Yeah, another friend going out of London. Not good…

Yesterdays afternoon all spent with Ben.

We went for sushi and also had a Bento Box (IIRC) Good, I was surprised that I can have a raw fish :), when I really do not prefer having any kind of fish ( the smell is ugly for me ), and here me eating a raw Salomon mm…

Also went to Virgin Store, to check how good is Ben when it comes to piano :), we had some fun changing the type of an instrument sound. And this is where I’ve lost my phone :(… half an hour later I realised that, and the Hunt began … after couple minutes … go it, some people from bar in basement got it I was so happy ;).

After Virgin we went to Odeon to watch a movie. “Constantine”, the best part of the movie : Lucifer ;), and when going out, somebody summarised the movie : “Have you noticed that Americans think that a Mexican will destroy the world :)”

Saturday:
Went to barbershop, got a haircut, but not happy with the quality :/, Le Grand Salon is what I like I’ll look for prices in Toni&Guy, maybe I’ll go there next time :).
Meeting with Bef, went to hacklab, met some nice people. After hacklab we went to Bangla City ang this was odd, from every restaurant were comming people and inviting us to their restaurants, offering discounts ( 20-25% ), free first drink. Funny Thing was also that, when we were looking for restaurant, every one was empty, but after our dinner everyone rest. was FULL , so within couple of minutes hundreds of people came to this places , incredeble

Sunday :
Grocery shopping, got /redbull/ like drink in 1l bottle great. hmm, I just realized that I had no breakfast, and I’m HUNGRY. Today is a boredom day ;).
