Close to finishing PPL

It’s a few months since I started my PPL training. I am now on the verge of finishing it and currently I am occupied with passing ground exams which will allow me to take the final skills test.
Now I fly bugger all and only my decision to pursue Night Rating is keeping me at the [...]

Not flying this weekend

I was hoping that I would fly this weekend but I had to review that hope. Weather is no good for travel ( shouldn’t affect flying but trains are rubbish here ). Also have not study at all over the break and I want to start tackling exams when I’m in Bournemouth.
Hope that next weekend [...]

Passing Exams

It came the time when to do more flying, I have to pass theory exams. Confusers are amazing helpers to pass, but books just give you the knowledge beyond what answer for which question.
Bad weather does not help motivating me … but at least I have time to do exams now.

Flying Solo

Sunday the 18th of October 2009, I had the biggest pleasure in my pilots life.
After passing Air Law exam in 15 minutes with 97.5% , after congratulations from my Instructor, he took me for a few more circuits.

I am currently learning how to fly in Bournemouth with Bournemouth Commercial Flight Training for the PPL (A) license. Doing only weekends with a few hours flying on Saturday and Sunday and I have to say that it’s [...]

I’ve found my self a Juniper SSG 20 which is not that expensive ( comparing to other Juniper stuff , especially brand new ) for training.
One thing which I’ve noticed strait away [...]

Researching

Virtualization
Due to server hardware refresh coming at work, I am investigating routes which we can take, one of the new ones is going virtual. It has couple of advantages like High Availability, and Fail Over which are very important these days ( users complain if their services are not available 100% )
So far I [...]

Persian language

Before Xmas, I have decided to learn a bit of Persian language. You know, just to occupy my brain with something other than technology. Today I’ve found to really great website which teaches you the language for free!

My little CA

I have been, recently, working with OpenSSL as a mini CA.
As it is a great product, does everything with PKI what you need. Even after a while it is making sense how to use it. No problems.
One issue, which held me a while was lack of clear information, instructions or interface to perform the most [...]
