New F1 Season

Yesterday and today I had an early start to my day, 5 am to be exact.

This was due to new F1 season 2009 starting in Australia.

It was a great show, with so much new stuff, new regulations, new technologies, new leaders.

Brown GP which can out of Honda won and now Honda should just bite themselves. It looks great and I can’t wait for next race in Malaysia.

Monza 2008 get Vettel

Monza, apparently not often in rain conditions, brought us Vettel’s first Grand Prix win.

It was comming, you could see that Torro Rosso are getting up the ladder. They definately started to outpace Red Bull , their sister team. And now Vettel thanks to, what looks like his favourite, wet conditions snatches the win.

Great days to watch the Formula 1, new drivers are doing their job!

Rain brings joy for Spa GP

The Belgian Grand Prix 2008 has been amazing.

Start where almost all cars were wheel spinning was an breath taking moment.

But the biggest surprise was rain just before finish. Hamilton versus Raikkonen battle was just one great piece of extremely good driving.

Stewards didn’t see that, stupid.

First Polish Anthem at Montreal GP

Finally, after, what 23 ? races, Kubica wins a Grand Prix and we could hear the Polish Anthem sound for the first time at the event, thanks! It actually felt quite well.

It was a beautiful race. With a very nice present from Lewis to Robert ( by clearly avoiding his car ). He did a Raikkonen to the Raikkonen himself. This was a lesson for Kimi, that it’s not a good feeling when someone is driving into your back when you least expect that (Hint: Monaco 2008 , Kimi and Sutil ).

DC, FINALLY finished his race! He even did that with a very good score of 3rd place and 6 Championship points.

On the Championship board, after Canada, Robert is Number One! Keep it up Robert. It would be beautiful to see you at the end of the season still keeping it. That would spoil Hamiltons road to glory, init.

Monaco GP 2008

Monaco GP for 2008 is over now. It was a beautiful show. Started in rain, spraying the grid with low predictability. Thanks to that water from the skies it was really funny event to watch, with all these drivers losing their front wings. Only one driver, had really bad luck at the end of the GP, when Kimi lost control and ended Sutils good fortune by crashing into his back. Kubica drove really well and had a chance of being first at the checker flag, he was the only driver among front runners, who didn’t make any mistake. Hamitlon, lucky barstard! Great driving, but from what I think, it’s his crash and forced pit stop what made him win that race.

I’m really looking forward to Canadian GP 2008. Kubica may finally get on the top of the podium! He just need Kimi, not crash into his back. Hopefully , DC will also get to the finish of the race, it’s a long time since I’ve seen him finishing, not crashing.

First Pole on pole in F1

Kubica has qualified on a pole position for Bahrain 2008 GP.

It’s his and BMWs fisrt pole position ever.

I hope that this performance will be carried on to the race on Sunday!

Formula 1 is back – Australia 2008

F1 is back this weekend! Hurray!

Watched Saturday qualifications, live, what involved being awake between 2 and 4 am. It was surprising, I didn’t expect the computer switch off ( no TC and LC this season) will have so much effect on the race. From what I have seen at the quali, BMW is really up for some GP winning this season. Ferrari is not reliable, yet, they may even be in a position where BMW will be better on points.

Favourites this season are … Hamilton and Kubica. Hamilton, hmm … Kubica, hmm hmm – he was a big surprise for me getting 2nd position on the grid. Maybe the potential which they were talking about for a whole 2007 is starting to show up.

I am really looking forward to the race! It looks to become more exciting than 2007.

If you didn’t know, I have started following F1 in 2007( before the Hamilton hype started and he wasn’t the reason for me) , it’s the only sport which I follow. I know little about F1 history, only what I heard from my uncle, now from time to time I am getting to read some wikipedia articles on it.I am also trying to follow all technicalities which are associated with F1, rules and constructions.
